Some 150 Primary Six "Lion Cubs" warmly welcomed the 23 Future Division ICs and student ICs at their camp on March 13 and 14, 2010 at Soka Culture Centre. For once, they could put aside their textbooks and take a short respite in an enriching yet fun-filled camp of learning beyond their classrooms.
Despite they have only briefly gathered to know more about one another, the "Lion Cubs" and the FD big brothers and sisters were already enjoying themselves in team-building game -- "Amazing Race", in brainstorming creative ideas for the cultural performances for the camp-fire and having a sumptuous dinner together.
The camp-fire was kick-started by FD Chief Pow Cheng See and Student Division YMD Chief Foo Kar Yang. What came right after, was such a spectacular display of creativity from the "Lion Cubs" and the FD members that left everyone including the Sunshine Aunties gagging with laughter and won thunderous applause from the floor!
At the camp there was also a testimony sharing by a FD graduate, Ko Kar Meng on overcoming his struggles through the power of faith in the Gohonzon, which was no doubt an encouraging pat on the back of the young "princes of justice" and "princesses of good fortune", as they strive towards preparing for their PSLE examinations at the end of the year.
